Green House in Landscape, Samobor

A quiet house immersed in 5,500 m² of woodland and open ground.

With a series of simple interventions, the existing house is transformed into a place of retreat, warm, restrained and deeply connected to its surroundings.

A large glass wall frames the landscape like a living postcard. Its view is never the same: the changing seasons, weather and light become part of the interior, constantly shifting the atmosphere of the house.

Rainwater is collected and stored on site, turning a functional necessity into a sensory experience. During periods of heavy rain, water becomes part of the house’s own private wellness, a reminder that here, nature is not simply a view, but an active part of everyday life.

A small outbuilding, meadow and woodland complete the setting, creating a secluded landscape for living, retreat and reconnection with nature.
