Vacation House L, Cerje

Conceived as a contemporary architectural retreat, this vacation house is defined by the interplay of distinct volumes, materials, and landscape. The composition is organised through a solid, semi-transparent glass-block base, a recessed and open ground-floor living zone, and a lighter upper volume clad in vertical timber. The expressive roof geometry gives the house its distinctive silhouette while creating a sense of spatial hierarchy between the different levels. Planted roofs and sloping green surfaces extend the surrounding terrain onto the architecture, blurring the boundary between building and landscape. Large glazed openings frame views and dissolve the threshold between interior and exterior, while deep recesses, terraces, and cantilevered elements create a layered transition between private living spaces and the garden.
